Italian wine worth 40,000 stolen from Liberty

A considerable quantity of Italian fine worth £39,600 (?50,000) was stolen from a Liberty Wines delivery truck on Monday evening, it has emerged.

The theft took place near to the Octavian bonded warehouse where company wines are stored in Hoddesdon, Hertfordshire.

In total, 636 cases of wine were stolen including 50 cases of Isole E Olena Cepparello 2004 and 79 cases of Livio Felluga Terre Alte 2006.

Liberty Wines is appealing to the trade to contact Liberty on tel: 020 7720 5350, should they be offered any of the wines below for purchase outside of the usual Liberty team.
