Bols launches competition to find the next “Tom Cruise”

Industry News
Friday, 05 September 2008
Bols, distributed by Maxxium UK, is commemorating the 20th anniversary of the movie Cocktail with an online competition to find the UK's next "superstar bartender."

The competition marks the first in a series of activity based on the iconic movie. Bartenders from around the UK are being invited to upload videos of their signature Bols recipe to a specially created Bols Cocktail-microsite, which will go live in September.

A judging panel, comprising of mixologists including Wayne Collins and Andy Gemmell from Maxxium UK, will shortlist entries which will then be open to public vote.

The winning bartender and their chosen mentor will be flown to Amsterdam, the home of Bols, for an all-expenses paid trip and training at the Bols Bartending Academy.
